Havana Star was retained by Klondike Victory Farm as a broodmare so did not go into sport but showed excellent technique and scope through the chute and very good rideability when she was started under saddle. She stems from the Chin Chin mother line with just enough blood for the upper levels of show jumping. Her first foals are long lined, modern and very athletic, and are showing all the qualities to become top level show jumpers.
Havana Star's sire Zeno was shown in the hunters, winning many Champion or Reserve Championships every time out. He then switched to Grand Prix jumpers and had a lot of success up to the 1.60m's before his untimely passing. He consistently passed on fabulous temperaments, quality gaits, elasticity, and Havana Star possesses all of these great qualities as a broodmare.
Havana Star's dam Lolita Star is one of our foundation mares, by the great Quick Star. He has offspring at the highest level of sport including Big Star, Nick Skeltons' mount for the 2012 Olympics and Ian Millars Olympic mount Star Power. Lolita's damsire Celano has been producing some exceptional GP jumpers as well, including Kent Farringtons mount Uceko. Through her motherline is the famous stallion Chin Chin, a producer of top level horses.
