Oconcorhead1O'Concor

2019 CWB Bay 16.2 HH Stallion

Tacorde x Carthago x Voltaire

O'Concor is a 2019 bay stallion who will mature in the 16.2hh range. This short coupled, modern stallion has what it takes to be a top competitor as well as a great producer. He jumps in excellent technique, is like all Tacorde offspring, very careful yet brave and shows a wonderful canter. His temperament is second to none, he has lived his whole life in a herd with geldings and is just the most chill and social young horse. So far, he is showing to be very trainable and absolutely loves attention, he is always the first to greet you in the field. His conformation is very correct with great balance and plenty of bone, he has a lovely topline with an exceptionally well-connected loin and hind leg. The icing on the cake is his four high white socks, belly spot and big blaze.

He is by Tacorde who himself competed at the 1.60m level in Canada. He had tremendous scope, extreme carefulness yet was still incredibly brave as well as being an intense competitor. Tacorde has bred on a very limited scale but has proven time and again to pass on all of his best qualities while not making his offspring too big. Tacorde now has his first offspring competing at the 1.50m level and has many who are at the 1.30m level who are all being ridden by young riders who are competing for the first time at these levels. His 8 year old daughter Ilana was just crowned champion U25 at the Canadian Championships.

His dam Chiara W Z herself competed up to the 1.50m level with her then Jr rider all over NA as well as Europe. Chiara was an absolutely gorgeous mare with long legs and great balance which she has passed on to O’Concor. She was a real competitor in the ring, always trying to jump clean and fast yet very ridable. Chiara had two foals before going into sport the first one Zycalin W s.Berlin competed up to the 1.60m level and at 18 is still competing with a young rider. Her second offspring Aziza W s. Carinjo HDC competed to the 1.30m level before becoming a broodmare, her oldest offspring Ermindo W s. Singapore competes at the 1.60m level and was the alternate for the Swedish Gold Medal winning team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The rest of this incredible dam-line is packed with 1.40+m competitors with many of them being ridden by young riders. Chiara is by Carthago Z who brings his power and incredible hind-end to the mix, she then goes back to a Voltaire x Apple King mare who brings forward plenty of blood as well as a double dose of carefulness.

Breeding Grades Nesquick

Nesquick TN is another lovely, long legged, longer lined, modern type who combines some very interesting bloodlines that are not readily available in NA. He has a wonderful temperament, correct conformation, with exceptional movement and unlimited scope. We feel that he will cross exceptionally well on blood type mares who need more strength and power in both their movement and jump.

Nesquick's sire Eldorado Van De Zeshoek TN is the epitome of power and scope with not only himself competing at the highest level but so did his sire and dam. He was ridden on numerous Nation Cup Teams under Willem Greve and Willem said about him “He has unlimited scope and with his power he can jump all the classes in the world, I’m very happy to have him in my stable.” Even though the majority of his offspring are under 8 years old Eldorado has already more than proven himself as a sire of top-level show jumpers and a sire of sires. Some of his most notable offspring are Killer Queen, Elektric Blue, Grandorado TN and Highway TN. To our knowledge Nesquick TN is the first Eldorado son to stand in NA.

Nesquick's dam Whisky stems from mare-line SF 7, the Quidam de Revel Mother-line. Whisky brings forward the foundation mare Nadine through both her bottom mother-line and a second time through Quidam de Revel himself through Quantum. She also carries the blood of the only full sister of one of the greatest foundation SF sires of this past century, Uriel who produced 50 approved sons who shaped both the SF and Dutch show jumping breeding. Whisky herself is ½ sister to no less than five 1.40+m horses and she has already produced a 1.50m show jumper Skara Glen’s 7 Pillars who is ridden by the Irishman Paul O’Shea.

Whisky's damsire Quantum descends from the Holstein mare-line of 18b1 – Dorette, which is the 4th ranked female family in the world for the production of showjumpers. His dam is the full sister to Constant who sired the great Chin Chin. Quantum combines great rideability with scope and bravery which he passes on to his offspring and has numerous offspring competing at the GP level under amateur riders. Some of his most famous offspring include Quality Time TN, Quintero, Quin Chin and many in Alberta will remember the extremely competitive Lerche ridden by Tamie Philips.

 Breeding Grades Jethro

Jethro Tull G is a long legged, gorgeous stallion who is very modern in both type and frame. As a 6-year-old in 2020 he competed to 1.30m with very limited showing due to the pandemic. He has excellent jumping technique with an especially impressive hind-end and world class scope that we haven’t even started to test. We are very excited for the future with this incredible horse and will continue to take our time developing him so that he will have many years at the top of the sport. He has a great temperament and is very laid back at home but has proven to have plenty of blood in the ring. He has an absolutely fantastic canter with a lot of carrying power, his trot is very flat kneed and long and low.

Jethro was the top scoring stallion during his licensing with both the CWB and CSH, he is also licensed with GOV, West, Hann and AHA. He was named the Champion Jumper at the NA Stallion Sport Test in 2018. He is proving to stamp his offspring with his type, strong top-lines, good bone and structure and incredible jumping ability. He is producing lovely hunter types out of hunter mares, he adds his great canter, flattens the trot and adds great technique with scope to the jump. Out of jumper mares again he improves the canter, adds a more balanced frame and adds his great technique and scope. He has been an absolute hit with the breeders with his book being full every year and now numerous breeders coming back to breed again after being so impressed with their offspring. He will be campaigning more this year so please contact for availability, we have excellent quality frozen semen available as an alternative if he is unavailable fresh.

Jethro's Sire I’m Special De Muze is one of the most exciting stallions of his generation out of one of the best mother-lines in Belgium, Mare line #34 the Kerly line, with no less than 3 mares in a row who have jumped 1.60m. With his sire, Olympic competitor Emerald, who is known for throwing big scopey horses who are careful yet extremely brave, you have a superstar in the making! In 2020 I’m Special De Muze is leading the Jumping index for offspring up to 9 years old!

Jethro is out of a strong mother-line himself, mare line 89. She has some of the most influential stallions of Holland in a direct line - Voltaire x Heartbreaker x Ramiro x Le Mexico, this mother line is responsible for the approved stallions President (Clinton), Ulysses M2S (Ekstein), Ringo G (Concorde) and Taloubet Du Rouet (Baloubet Du Rouet) plus multiple FEI competitors. Jethro brings forward the best traits from Voltaire and Heartbreaker, their good looks combined with exceptional movement and ultra-carefulness. Jethro’s full sibling was the high selling foal at a public foal auction in 2020 in Holland.

Tempranillo has had a successful career in both the dressage and the show jumping rings and is now producing good minded show horses.

We are saddened to report that Tempranillo had to be humanly euthanized due to a paddock accident. His legacy will be carried forward by his many top producing daughters that we at KVF are lucky enough to own.

Tempranillo himself is a modern type longer lined stallion with a great top-line and excellent conformation. He shows wonderful expression in his gaits and has an especially quick, powerful hind leg with a lot of animation up front. His canter is balanced with nice rhythm. His jump shows good technique and scope. This stallion is the complete package of super movement, great jumping ability and excellent conformation.

Tempranillo has proven that he is a simple to ride horse who is very brave and jumps in great form. After having success up to 1.40m he was then ridden by an Amateur and proved to be very forgiving of mistakes and yet careful. He was reserve champion 1.30m at Thunderbird, as well as jumping around the feature Grand Prix the next week with only one rail. He is very confident about his job and loves to take care of his amateur rider, this great feature he consistently passes on to his offspring.

Tempranillo as a five year old competed in the FEI 5 year old division in the dressage ring and proved that he had the ability to be a top competitor when he delivered a high score of 82% one of the highest scores in all of Canada that year! He has proven that he has the ability to be a top dressage horse and jumper and with his flawless technique and super quiet temperament would also excel in the hunter ring.

Tempranillo's offspring are proving to be just like their father, very self assured and loving of attention. He adds length of leg and over all scope to his offspring with more suspension in the gaits and incredible jumping ability. Starting his offspring is a pleasure they have the confidence of a broke horse with good trainability and work ethics. He is the sire of our own top GP mare Elle Carrera who is having success to the 1.45m so far at just 8 years old, this mare has everything needed to be a top international horse, ultra careful, fast with big scope and the heart of a lion, she has won numerous classes at every stage of her career.  He has several other offspring moving up the levels or winning with their amateur owners at all levels, they are brave and jump in excellent form. A KVF bred mare Beya Kat has after competing in the young horse finals at 6 become an invaluable broodmare, being the dam of our rising star Hooz Da Kat s.Zeno who at 5 is winning everything at age appropriate heights.

Tempranillo's sire is the 17.1 hh Calvados who jumped at the international level and has many international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level, e.g. Macanudo's Deniro (Peter Wylde), Royal Future (Allison Firestone), Illussion (Tani Anderson), Silber Bird (Markus Beerbaum) and the list goes on. Calvados is one of the few stallions who has earned his "keur" predicate. He has this to thank from his above mentioned, world famous children, who won grand prix and world cups. The jumping index of Calvados is extremely high with 152 points.40+ at RMSJ in August.

Tempranillo's dam Ilobria has been awarded both her Keur and Pref from the KWPN for her own sport performance and her offspring. She jumped to 1.30 and up to Z level dressage as well as producing some exceptional offspring. This mare line comes from generations of Keur, Pref mares. Ilobria's sire Damiro is becoming very well known as a broodmare sire and many stallions who make it through the 70 day test have him in their mother line.

Zeno head shotZeno

2004 KWPN Chestnut 17.1 hh Approved CWB and Silver Premium CSH (Hunter + Jumper)

    Quattro x Burggraaf x Pablo x Nimmerdor

Horsetelexlogo

Zeno has proven to be a truly multi talented stallion jumping up to the 1.60m jumpers and also having a lot of success in the hunter ring especially the Hunter Derbies.

We are very saddened to report that Zeno has passed away due to complications following two colic surgeries, he was a fighter right to the end and will be very much missed by both the farm and those who enjoyed the 'Red Dragons' journey from a regular working hunter to a FEI level jumper. He was clear in his very last class, a 1.50m speed class the day before he coliced.

Zeno is a long legged elegant stallion who has proven to be truly multi-talented. He started his career as the 4 year old material Champion at the Alberta Provincial Dressage show and since then has been campaigned as both a jumper and hunter.

Zeno in 2014 has moved up to the Grand Prix 1.45m level and has so far this year done extremely well. In Tucson he had one rail in his first two GP's and then the next week had two clear rounds ending with a 2nd and 4th in the $25,000 GP and then returned to AB and went indoors at Spruce Meadows and was 2nd in the GP! After that he went to Brandon MB and competed in four GP's and was in the jump-off in all of them and then finished his week by winning the MTS Grand Prix, quite an accomplishment for a horse just moving into the GP level. He then went down to Omaha NB and competed in the National level GP and was 6th in the speed class and 4th in the GP. In May we hauled down to Spruce Meadows for the Sunday GP day and Zeno had a great round with just one down, this was his first time outdoors at Spruce! After that he competed at Caledonia where he won the Open Welcome and then was third in the GP with the fastest jump off time. The following week we where up at the Edmonton Classic where he finished 7th in the Atco Cup and then in a Thunderstorm on the Sunday stepped into the Hunter ring for a second place in the Derby! What a versatile horse.  Zeno finished his outdoor season stepping into the FEI division at RMSJ and each class he gained confidence and just continued to get better ending the two weeks with a 9th place in the $100,000 GP! He has qualified in 13th position for the Royal West after only 4 classes.

Zeno in 2013 did both the hunter Derby’s and Jumpers up to 1.35m where he was rewarded for his big scope and easy, correct jump placing in the top 5 many times in the Open hunter derby’s. He was just as successful in the jumper ring in 2013 starting off indoors at Spruce by being top 5 both weeks in the 1.20m mini Prix and then he went outdoors and at Caledonia he started to move up beginning the week in the 1.20 and ending it in the 1.35m. He was Champion of the 1.25m mini prix at Rivervalley as well as being 2nd and 4th in the other two 1.25m classes, then at Amberlea he was Champion in the 1.25m Prix. He then went to RMSJ where he was clear in the Open Welcome, he had one down in the 1.35m and then placed 4th with a score of 99 in the Hunter Derby then the next day was double clear in the Modified Grand Prix for 3rd. Zeno jumps around even the toughest tracks like a regular working hunter making it look easy.

Zeno in 2012 competed mainly in the hunter ring coming home Champion or Reserve seven consecutive times both in AB and on the extremely competitive California circuit, he was also ASJA Combined Working hunter year end Champion.

Zeno’s offspring are still young but are already starting to show a lot of promise in the show ring. One of his oldest Delila, who showed in two ‘A’ rated shows, came home reserve champion both times. Another three year old was reserve champion at the free jumping competition and several have just started into the dressage ring with great success. His offspring have great minds, big reaching trots with a lot of elasticity, his incredible canter and jump in wonderful form. Conformationally he puts good straight legs under them, strengthens the loin connection, raises the shoulder angle so that they can jump with their knees up around their eyeballs and puts a well set on neck.

Zeno attended the Canadian Warmblood and Sport Horse inspections in 2007. He received a 76.6% from CWB and an 81% from CSH both inspection teams gave him 8's and 9's for his movement and free jumping including a 9 for his gallop and 8.5 for his free jump!

Sire: Quattro B goes back to two of the greatest Selle Francais stallions of all time Galoubet and H Alme Z. He was successfully competed at the Grand Prix level of Show Jumping and then did upper level Dressage. His offspring show his spectacular gaits but they also inherit Quattro's beautiful type and jumping ability. He has offspring successful in both Grand Prix jumping and Dressage including Much Ado, Quantum Tyme and Quicksilber. In 2004 Quattro had two offspring selected for the Olympics in Athens: Quando Quando for dressage and Oliver Q for jumping. Quattro has proven to be a true all around producer of the highest level.

Dam: Odessa is a Preferent mare based off of her offsprings sport achievements as well as her top scores at inspection. Zeno is her third son to be selected for approvals and her second one to become a 1.60m jumper her other son was a 1.45m jumper. Zeno's two younger half sisters are both competing in the jumper ring at a high level as well, which makes every single offspring of Odessa having become very successful show jumpers. She comes from the Holstein Stamm 104a which is a multi branched line that produces both top Show jumpers and Dressage horses.
